DESCRIPTION

1970 Triumph Trophy 250 (TR25W) Assembled on 25th June 1970. Dispatched to Comerfords of Thames Ditton on 27th June 1970. An unashamed exercise in 'badge engineering', the Triumph TR25W Trophy was basically the BSA B25 Starfire in a new set of clothes. There were a number of cosmetic changes to identify the new model as a Triumph, while those of greater engineering significance included an alteration in gearing, adoption of larger wheel sizes and fitting of an upswept exhaust system to suit the Trophy's intended role as a trail bike. Introduced in 1968, the Trophy continued with relatively minor changes until BSA-Triumph's major revamp of its range in 1970 brought with it a new 'oil bearing' frame, conical hubs and a change of name to 'Blazer', with Street Scrambler and Trail versions available. The machine was essentially a Starfire with a fibreglass Triumph tank and side panels, high bars and a high level exhaust on the right hand side. The TR25W was built at BSA's Small Heath factory. A steel fuel tank was used for all years and in 1969 and the machine also received the 7" tls brake. The exhaust was moved to the left side for 1970. This Triumph was subject to a nut and bolt restoration during lockdown and is in lovely condition as you can see today. Running and riding well it is ready for a new custodian to enjoy using or place in their collection. Absolutely any inspection welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Part exchange considered. Free U.K mainland delivery. Please contact us for any further information.
