DESCRIPTION

1964 Triumph Spitfire Four MK I 1147cc. Signal Red with Black Ambla upholstery and red factory hard top. This absolutely amazing rare MK I Spitfire was first registered on 10th April 1964 in Dundee and supplied to Mr Peter Fleet and is a right hand drive U.K home market car. The car spent much of its life in and around the London area before being parked up for many years. The car was then rescued and what can only be described as the ultimate nut and bolt restoration began. Absolutely no stone was left unturned and no expense spared on the rebuild as you can see in the photographs, turning it to a concours car. A fantastic hardback book was produced in conjunction with the rebuild which recorded the whole process in words and pictures and accompanies the car. The original green log book is still present and shows that the Triumph still has its original registration number of RTS 749. The car has come to us from a well known prolific collector who has displayed the car in his own private garage. It runs and drives just as it did 58 years ago and is ready to show or park in your private collection. It has covered just 12 miles since the incredible rebuild and is in outstanding condition and in our opinion must be one of the best available. The Heritage Certificate in the history file confirms that it is a matching numbers car. If you are a serious Triumph collector then this car that you would be very proud to own.
