1981 Triumph Spitfire 1500. Inca Yellow with Houndstooth cloth upholstery and a black hood. This Spitfire has recently been recommissioned after spending 25 years in storage. It is a late car having been registered in 1981 and still retains all of its original features. The car has had just 3 previous owners from new and has covered 60,000 miles which we believe to be correct although due to the age of the vehicle we are unable to warrant this. The Triumph was Ziebarted from new and is still very solid, with a great chassis and no signs of welding. Lots of money has been spent in the last 18 months which includes an engine rebuild and the cylinder head removed and converted to unleaded fuel. A new clutch and slave cylinder were fitted. New brakes all around including discs, pads, hoses and wheel cylinders. Rear exhaust box. The petrol tank was removed, cleaned out and coated with por 15 sealant and a new sender unit fitted. New battery. Accompanying the car is a history file containing lots and bills and invoices. The car drives just as it should and performs well in modern traffic. This Spitfire really looks and presents well but upon close inspection the paintwork on certain panels could possibly be improved, this could be done immediately, in the future or left as is, it is up to the new owner but we think the price reflects this so use and improve at your leisure.
