1993 Rover Mini 1275 British Open Classic Limited Edition. One of only 1000 produced. British Racing Green with Barley Upholstery and Green Pipimg. The 'Open Classic' was the first special edition to be based on the new 1.3-litre Mini and the first UK-market model with a folding sunroof, the latter electrically operated like this car. Other noteworthy features included Minilite style alloy wheels, body-coloured door mirrors and chromed front grille. This rare model Mini has covered just 71,000 miles from new and has been cherished throughout its life. Subject to a body restoration in 2012 after being off the road for a few years which included new sills and floor sections, a new rear subframe and a professional body shop respray. The car was then fitted with colour coded Group 2 wheel arches and wheel arch liners. The exhaust system was upgraded with a Long Centre Branch manifold and stainless steel exhaust system which gives a lovely note. A Cobra remote alarm immobiliser also fitted with two fobs. The car featured in Mini Magazine with a copy of the article in the folder. Accompanying the Mini is a large history file containing lots of bills, invoices and old mot certificates guaranteeing the low mileage as well as the original grey wallet containing owners handbook and other items. Most recently the car has had a new radiator and water pump, a heater valve and matrix and a full service.
