1964 Morris Mini Cooper S MK I 1275cc. Old English White with Black Roof and Grey and Tartan Red (Gold Brocade) upholstery. This remarkable S has never been restored and is all original. It has an amazing history folder back to day one starting with the original bill of sale from 17th October 1964. The car was purchased by Philip James from Bridges Garage Ltd, Morris dealers in Cirencester, the total cost £772.6.5. Mr James owned the car until 1997 some 34 years when it passed into a private collection and has remained in storage in its original condition until now. The history folder contains bills, invoices and old mots dating back to the sixties, The all important Passport to Service is still with the car as is the original drivers handbook. The Mini runs and drives but obviously as it has been off the road for many many years if you wished to use it a thorough recommissioning will be required. There are many restored Cooper S’ available today but to find an unrestored car that is still in solid condition like this is a very rare find indeed, and as the saying goes “ They’re only original once.” It is a matching numbers car and to have such low ownership with the provenance that accompanies the car makes it almost unique.
