DESCRIPTION

1967 MGB GT Manual Overdrive. Tartan Red with Black leather upholstery and red piping. Introduced in 1965 the MGB GT was one of the earliest examples of the now popular hatchback car and the large load platform for luggage made the GT a really useful two-seat touring car. Although the coupe bodywork made the GT much heavier than the Roadster, its shape actually helped the performance with improved aerodynamics and gave the GT a slightly higher top speed than the Roadster and also an improvement in handling. This beautiful GT has been cherished over the years and presents very well, lots of money has been spent over the years to keep the car in the condition it is today and most recently in 2022 was sent to Sherwood Restorations for various works at a cost of £8559.89 with the invoice on file, this included the fitment of new 15” chrome wire wheels including a spare, new chrome logo spinners and 5 x 185/65 15 Toyo tyres. Overall a great car which is lovely throughout, the interior is outstanding with a period Moto Lita steering wheel, retrimmed upholstery and fresh carpets. The paintwork is very bright and the chrome showing no signs of pitting and a detailed engine bay completes the overall look. The panels are straight and true with good shut lines and panel gaps. The underside and chassis are very solid with no signs of any corrosion. On the road the car is just as impressive, it starts on the button with correct oil pressure and a strong engine mated to a manual gearbox with overdrive operating correctly. It easily keeps up with modern traffic and turns heads. Accompanying the MG is a huge history folder dating back many years which includes bills, invoices and old mot certificates. Although now tax and mot exempt a fresh mot will be applied upon sale for your own peace of mind. This is a car that will grace any showground and would fit into any collection. Absolutely any inspection welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Part exchange considered. Free U.K mainland delivery. Please contact us for any further information. Lots more pictures and a video on our website and Facebook page.
