1955 MG Magnette ZA Saloon. Burgundy with tan leather upholstery. The first monocoque car to bear the MG badge and featured swooping Italian-inspired styling. MG's fastest saloon in the period. First registered on 30th April 1955 as an MG demonstrator and then sold at three month old to Mr E A Glover, Mr Glover kept the car for 28 years when it was sold to Mr B A Basset in 1983. The MG then stayed in Mr Basset's family right up to 2016 when it was sold to Mr King, Mr King had known the car since the 1990's. The car has a nice history file containing lots of bills, invoices and old mot's, a brief breakdown of this is, Paul Whincher Ltd 1955-1961, B. Basset 1983-2004, Castle Hill Garage 2004-2015, Mr King 2016 to present. Work carried out by Mr King in the last two years as follows. Radiator removed and flushed and drain tap eased, Heater box removed, stripped, cleaned and re-assembled, Heater valve replaced, new heater hoses and top hose replaced, thermostat replaced, carburettors rebuilt with new valves, needles, gaskets and butterflies, new rear shock absorbers, new exhaust rear section, rear lights re-furbished, new choke cable, new fuel pump and new Continental tyres. Upgraded leather front seats have been fitted for comfort with the original seats still with the car. Absolutely any inspection is welcome and viewing is highly recommended.
