1969 Lotus Elan +2. Satin Black with black upholstery. Three previous owners and just 64,000 miles. The car was subject to a full nut & bolt restoration in 2011 by SMS of Spalding, this included a new Lotus galvanised chassis. No expense was spared with every component either rebuilt or replaced and the huge history file with the car contains over £50,000 of invoices on file. Solid drive shafts fitted by Mick Miller. In 2017 Paul Matty Sports Cars carried out a suspension upgrade with new Koni reduced droop shock absorbers and springs. In 2018 the Elan was taken to Lakeside Engineering Ltd, Lotus Specialists for a full engine rebuild, with an invoice on file for £5668 and has covered only 1500 miles since. In March 2019 two brand new 40DCOE Weber carburetters were fitted, another £1400 spent. This is one of the best Elan +2 that we have seen and is extremely well sorted. The bodywork is in outstanding condition and the interior is excellent and all original including the original steering wheel and radio. The brightwork displays no sign of any pitting and still gives a great shine. As you would expect the Lotus drives without fault, the recently rebuilt engine very strong with excellent oil pressure. A very fun car to drive which still feels quick today by modern standards. Although now mot exempt a fresh mot will be applied upon sale for your own peace of mind. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Part exchange considered. Finance arranged. Free U.K delivery.
