1968 Daimler Sovereign 420 Automatic. Derived from the Jaguar Mk. X and the S-Type, the Daimler Sovereign was readily identified by the traditional Daimler fluted radiator surround and the interior was furnished with finest quality leather hide upholstery, polished figured walnut instrument panel and deep pile carpets that were sufficiently luxurious to satisfy Daimlers' established clientele. British Racing Green with Tan leather upholstery. First registered on 19th March 1968 and supplied to Engineering Tool & Design Product Co of Waltham Abbey. A stunning car that has been subject to a £30,000 restoration. We have a huge portfolio of service history which details all of the restoration work carried out including a full engine rebuild and new rear axle. Lots of bills, invoices and twenty five old mot's showing the mileage of just 90,000 as correct. Also in the history file is the original book pack which contains the original log book, owners service policy, periodic maintenance vouchers, lubrication chart, owners manual and service locations booklet. The Daimler still retains its original registration number issued by The County Council of Essex as stamped on the original log book. The car performed very well when driven for photographs, with the correct oil pressure, a strong engine and smooth changing automatic gearbox. The power steering makes this car a pleasure to drive and it easily holds its own in modern traffic. This car will grace any showground and is a worthy addition to any collection.
