1973 BMW 2002 Touring manual. Inca Orange with bespoke period Spirit of Le Mans sports upholstery. The car was dry stored over 20 years and discovered in 2019 by the owner of PL carbodies, a BMW approved bodyshop in Warwickshire. Once back at their premises they set about restoring the car from its bare shell to “as new” condition whilst adding some fast road modifications to create a more exciting driver’s car that keeps up with modern traffic. The body is near perfect, We have never seen a 2002 finished to this standard, if anything needed replacing, it was replaced with either parts from BMW thenselves or Jaymic 2002 specialist. The engine was rebuilt by LHO race engineering in Warwickshire to fast road specification with everything upgraded where recommended including twin Weber 45 carburettors and a full stainless steel Larini exhaust system. Over £8500 was spent on the engine rebuild alone. All suspension, brakes, fuel, cooling and wheels are either brand new or reconditioned. The interior has been beautifully retrimmed by the best in the business using Spirit of le mans fabric. The door cards are the only original interior panels but were in excellent condition. The car sits on Alpina turbine wheels with new premium tyres. As you can imagine, the car starts on the button and feels like a newly built car, it drives as tight as a drum and has ample power to put a smile on your face. Its covered just a total of 80 miles since completion and is ready for any classic car show or collection and certainly a car that we’d be very proud to own. Although now tax and mot exempt a fresh mot will be applied upon sale for your own peace of mind. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted.
